Horse Racing Picks Or The Lack There OfMy goal is actually not to bash the analyst, but just to ask, "who can't hit a $.50 pick 4 when you spend $100"? I mean that's 200 combinations! And they still miss it. So my goal is to publish each pick 4 on days I play (See, some of us have real jobs and don't get to play everyday) this spring with 3/4 max. of what they spend($75) . And if I can't hit 75% of them, I will quit playing the horses and the web site. |

A view from my seat at the Breeders Cup at Churchill Downs in November of 2010. AWESOME! ![]() A photo of Juniper Pass with jockey Rafeal Bejarano |
The Analyst The guys on TV aren't that bad really. I mean Matt Carouthers is my favorite, great personality and pretty good at picking the horses too. Simon Bray is probably the best actual handicapper they have. I thought Mr. B was pretty good but he's not around anymore. And you can't forget Ken Rudolph. Great on air personality but only goes for longshots. I had the priviledge of meeting Christina Olivares at the Breeders Cup in 2010. She is tiny. And even prettier than on TV. Plus, I liked Quality Road and she told me he couldn't make that distance, she was right. My Picks Going after the Belmont pick 6 today(5/25/11. The last 5 races are all turf, which is not my specialty, but I'm bored so WTH? Starting at race 4 1,3/4/1,9/1,5/2,5,7/7,8,9 = $144 for my scoreboard purposes we will use my last 4 in the pick 6 as my late pick 4, which is an $18 play Scoreboard Here is where I will keep an honest tally of how I am doing Played-Hit-Pct 3 - 0 - 0% |
